The J.W. Couch Foundation awards Education Grants as part of its mission to “plan for the future.” Funding priorities address three primary areas: early childhood education, twenty-first century education, and teachers. The Foundation awards grants to schools that teach students the essential 21st-century skills needed for the future such as critical thinking, problem solving, effective communication, collaboration, curiosity, and imagination. Teacher-focused programs provide direct support to ensure well-prepared educators. Proposals are submitted online during one of the Foundation's quarterly "window".
