Through our support for public education, we’re closing the funding gap facing many schools today. Each year, the Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grants program contributes more than $5 million to fund improvements at public schools in the United States.

Projects should fall into one of the following categories: technology upgrades, tools for STEM programs, facility renovations and safety improvements. Grant requests can range from $2,000 to $100,000. A large majority of grants will be given in the $2,000 to $5,000 range. Most larger projects fall between $10,000 and $25,000. Critical need projects over $25,000 will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The fall application cycle is currently closed as of October 16, 2015. Applications take 90 days to review. Once reviewed, applicants will receive a status e-mail.

The Toolbox for Education 2016 cycle dates are:

– Spring Cycle: December 18, 2015 – February 12, 2016

– Fall Cycle: August 1, 2016 – September 26, 2016

Grants can only be applied for during the cycle dates. It is during this time that a link for the application will become available.
