The primary purpose of the Peter R. Marsh Foundation's Middle School Music Grant Program is to support schools in their prioritized efforts to embed social and emotional intelligence in students. The Music Grant Program endows student public service and (1) provides funds for music teachers to use to enhance their school music education program, and (2) serves the senior citizens of the local community. A middle school's music teacher must complete the online application. Grant recipients are required to plan and present a minimum of three musical performances for senior audiences in their local community. All music students should participate in at least one performance. Concerts may be vocal or instrumental. A school may receive one grant per year.

Open to middle schools only. Applications are accepted September 1 through January 31 annually.
