Charter schools are an essential part of a robust education system. The U.S. Department of Education is committed to expanding opportunities for all students and providing quality education options that meet the distinct needs of each child through the Charter Schools Program (CSP). Today, the Department announces the publishing of Notices Inviting Applications (NIAs) for the following CSP Programs:

- Expanding Opportunity through Quality Charter Schools Program - State Charter School Facilities Incentive Grant Program (SFIG)
State Entity Grants
The SE program authorizes the U.S. Secretary of Education to make awards to state entities to enable them to expand opportunities for all students to attend a high-quality charter school by awarding subgrants to eligible applicants in their state and to provide support to improve charter school practices across their states. Entities eligible for this grant program include charter support organizations, governors of a state, state education agencies, and state charter school boards. To learn more about this grant program, please review the NIA. Applications for SE grants are due June 9, 2025.
