Using data from the US Department of Education’s biennial Civil Rights Data Collection effort, the National Center for Special Education in Charter Schools (NCSECS) identifies trends in enrollment, placement, and discipline data for students with special needs in charter schools. The resulting documents and tools summarize key issues affecting students with disabilities and charter schools. NCSECS’s analysis of the 2015-16 report allows readers to interact with data visualization tools, access reports on longitudinal and current trends, and review executive summaries and full reports from current and past analyses.
