National Charter School Study 2013

This June 2013 report from the Center for Research on Education Outcomes (CREDO) at Stanford University provides analyses of charter school performance in 25 states and the District of Columbia and New York City, and provides comparisons with traditional public school performance.

The report updates and incorporates performance analyses from CREDO’s 2009 report covering 15 states and the District of Columbia and expands to cover an additional 10 states. The report identifies trends in the demographics of attendance and analysis of the impact and role of accountability.

Analyses of performance by race, poverty, special education and English language learner status and charter management organization (CMO) affiliation also are provided.
