Using data from the 2013-2014 U.S. Department of Education Civil Rights Data Collection, the National Center for Special Education in Charter Schools (NCSECS) examines the status of students with disabilities in charter schools compared to traditional public schools according to enrollment, service provision, and discipline as well as the prevalence and focus of specialized charter schools. The report includes federal, state, and local-level policy recommendations.
