The Clarence E. Heller Charitable Foundation funds environmental and arts education opportunities for children and youth by supporting (1) programs for educators and artists to improve and apply their teaching skills in these subjects; and (2) efforts to advance environmental and arts education programs. The Foundation has two funding rounds each year, typically in May or June and November. Past education grants include teacher institute funds for environmental learning, an internship program for underserved youth, and an educator development program. Interested applicants must first submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) online; selected applicants are then invited to submit a full proposal.
Priority given to applicants in California.
